7/17 Deer Path Camp moves to Camp Carr due to power outage

Good Morning Deer Path Camp Families,

Yesterday evening our Deer Path branch experienced some heavy storms and lost power.  We are still experiencing a power outage and from all reports it appears that it will not be restored until later today.

With that said, we will be shifting our Deer Path camp program to Camp Carr today.  The Camp Carr team is excited to have their Deer Path friends with them for the day.  Campers will swim, hike, do arts and crafts, play games, make new friendships and have a great day.

 

There is signage at Camp Carr that directs you to all the drop off locations, but we will have a team of our Camp Carr and Deer Path staff out to help guide you as well. 

 
  • Morning care drop off is at 7:00 am under our main pavilion.  Please park in the pool lot and we will have someone there to greet you and get your camper signed in. 
  • Normal drop-off to begin early. We will be opening up normal drop off (9:00 am camper arrival) early to allow for the increased traffic to be less impactful.  We will start opening car doors and greeting campers at 8:15.  Please follow the signs for 9AM DROP OFF and watch for our staff team to guide you.
  • Afternoon pick-up to begin early. Just as the morning drop off we will begin afternoon pick-up early as well at 3:15 to accommodate the increased traffic flow. 
  • After camp care will operate as well.  Campers will have the chance to swim as well as play games and go to the snack bar.  You can park in the camp pool lot and staff will guide you to sign out and pick up your camper. 
  • Half Day Camp friends will also follow the 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM signage to drop-off and pick-up.  Mid-Day pick-up and drop off will be at the normal times and at the 9AM / 4PM drop-off/ pick-up area. 

Your Deer Path camp team will all be present and groups will be together.  If your camper has any type of medication from camp the Deer Path team will pick that up to be available at Camp Carr. 

Items to bring to Camp Carr today
  • Packed lunch and snack in a cooler/ cooler sack (with ice pack)
  • Swimsuit and towel. (We recommend wearing your suit to camp).  Campers can change after they swim)
  • Sunblock
