Healthy Horizons, the donor-supported YMCA Pathway program to nurture wellness for individuals in treatment and recovery for a mental health diagnosis, is now serving the lower Bucks community at our Fairless Hills branch!
“Our group of participants has more than DOUBLED!,” announced Nicole Martorella, program coordinator for Healthy Horizons. “I have been very humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude to say the least. I anticipate 22 Healthy Horizons graduates this spring, which is incredible!”
Nicole shared this note from one of her participants:
“Hi Nicole, I just got in from getting errands done. I was so wiped out, I decided to soak in the tub. After truly relaxing for the first time in many, many years, I feel the need to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing what you do. This was the first time in so long that I've felt a connection to my brain and body. The first time I relaxed and didn't feel sad, just calm. You are truly a blessing to those whom you are sharing this healing work. Thank you sooo much for all you are doing.”
