Larry Feiber
June 5, 2021

While sitting in the Doylestown Hospital infusion center for cancer treatments in 2018, Larry saw a brochure about THRIVE, YMCA of Bucks County’s cancer wellness program. He participated in the program with a small group of cancer survivors while undergoing his treatments and continues his health and wellness journey as a Y member in the Lap Pool and Wellness Center.

“The Y does a great job with cancer survivors. They cared, showed concern and did so much for me specifically,” he says.

THRIVE at YMCA of Bucks County is a free, 12-week personal training program designed for people who have become deconditioned or chronically fatigued from battling cancer. The program is offered free through the gracious support of donors to our Operation Compassion Recovery program, which funds THRIVE and all of our Pathway programs.

“The Y is such an important place. A vital place,” says Fieber, whose recent contribution provided him the opportunity to have his name engraved on the Community Mosaic, soon to be displayed in our Wellness Center hallway. “We’ve got to support the Y and help to sustain it in our community so that it is there when we need it.”
